Domain Registration is a simple process. The website nowadays has intensified an essential need for all businesses as well as for personal bloggers. For Websites, You need an extension with your company or agency. This extension is mainly known as Domain Name. There are many kinds of extensions of Domain names that you can use according to your company i.e .edu is used for the educational department. Different types of Domain Names are following:

TLD – Top Level Domains

These are at the most elevated amount of domains in the DNS structure of the Internet. There are a few distinct sorts of TLD’s, being:

ccTLD – Country Code for top-level domain

These are the two-letter domains established for a specific geographical location. For Example; .pk implies Pakistan. There are many ccTLD domains for every country.

gTLD- Generic top-level domain

The famously known generic TLD’s include .com, .net, .biz, .org and .info . You can buy these domains in everywhere in the world. These domains are payable, and  You can’t register them without paying.

Subdomains

In the category of Subdomains, there include a particular word before the domain extension. For example; yoursite.wordpress.com, where the wordpress.com is a Subdomain before your site name.

There are some domain extensions such as .tk, .ga, .ml E.t.c that are available free for 1 Year period. The best and recommended site for domain registration is Freenom. Freenom is the world’s first and only free domain provider. You can also purchase gTLD domain names here, but they are payable. Following are the Steps to Register free Domain Names ( .tk, .ga, .ml E.t.c ) On Freenom:

Step #1:

Open www.freenom.com

Step #2:

Now search a domain name for your business or company by entering your career name or anything else that you want.

In my case, I have written tech2learners, and You will have to write your desired name in the above white box and click On Check Availablity. So that Freenom appears all the domain extensions that will be available according to your searched name.

Step #3:

Now Freenom displays all the Free domain name extensions that are available for your search. In the following picture, I have Displayed some extensions that are available in my case ( Tech 2 Learners )

You have seen that these domains are available at $0.  However, the limitation is this that You can only use these domains for one year at free cost. After 1 Year, You will have to pay the amount to use your domain name continuously.

 

Step #4:

Now after deciding your desired domain name then It will be added to the cart. Now check out your cart of freenom and create your account on Freenom.com to access your domain names. You can also Change the DNS Nameservers by going into the Domain Management section. There is no limitation of using your domain in only Freenom Hosting you can also change your hosting after choosing a domain name. I have explained the next steps in my practical Video; you can watch it in the last section of this article.

 

Important Information:

1. Free Domain registered from Freenom will last only for 1 Year.
2.  If you still want to continue your website, then You will have to pay the required amount after one year.
3. You can also manage Your Free Domain Name by other Hosting Providers.
4. The Free Domains are in ( .tk, .ga, .ml E.t.c ) Extensions.
